Pet Sitting
Zoo Nanny was started when I realized the lack in experienced pet sitting services for folks with exotic pets. Having birds and a blue tongue skink of my own it was really difficult finding someone qualified to look after my pets. I was fortunate in finding a bird sitter through my avian vet that not only is knowlegable but caring and educated in the specialized needs of exotic birds.
After seven years as a zookeeper in two zoos I ended my career to pursue pet sitting. I've worked with all sorts of animals, birds and reptiles. Birds have included the tiny ones from finches on up to the large parrots, emus and ostriches. There are very few legal reptiles in Massachusetts that I am not familiar with their care. I am not squeemish with feeding snakes and actually enjoy them. I've worked with again the small sand boas on up to the very large red-tailed boas and even an anaconda! The list of herps I have experience with includes frogs, turtles, tortoises, snakes, geckos, beardeds, iguanas, skinks, anoles, salamanders, newts and even a few crocadilians thrown in. The list is extensive for small animals also. Everything from deer mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, degus, ferrets, opossums, and rabbits.

I've lived in the Wrentham area for over 30 years, married with one adult son. Ron,my husband of 30 years and I share our home with 17 year old terrier mix Cocoa, 10 year old blue-tongue skink Precious, 4 year old parakeet Biddybe and 4 year old bare-eyed cockatoo Cassie.
I recently became certified in Wildlife Rehab through IWRA. I'm insured through Petsitters, LLC.
